Gateway Christian Church began in 1976. We were a dream of the Bluegrass Christian Men's Fellowship (they continue to start new churches in central KY.). They and many churches and individuals helped support us in our infancy.

Our launch date was Sept.12,1976, starting in our local high school. We began 1977 in one of our local bank's community room and built our first building on our current site in 1979. In the summer of 1976, about 12 adults met weekly to pray, study and plan for our beginning. Our first year we averaged about 50 in attendance and have grown steadily since then to our current average of about 400 weekly.

We are big enough to offer a variety of ministries for all ages, but small enough for people to still feel a sense of family. If you looking for a relationship with the Lord or a caring church family, we hope you will come try us out soon.
